Learning Space EduPower Ltd · Last updated 17 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Learning Space EduPower Ltd (“Learning Space”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our platform, websites, games and services (the “Platform”). We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act / NDPR and other applicable law. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Learning Space EduPower Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed on the Platform. Where a school uses the Platform to manage its students, teachers and parents, the school may also act as a controller for the data of its members, and Learning Space acts on its instructions for that data.

2. Information we collect

  • Account & profile: name, email, phone, role, gender, date of birth, address / LGA / state, school or class, avatar, and preferences you provide.
  • Verification (KYC) & documents: identity and credential documents you upload (for approval, verification or withdrawals), and vendor onboarding details.
  • Payments: transaction records, amounts, plan and payout details. Card and bank details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor (Paystack) — we do not store full card numbers.
  • Learning & activity data: courses, questions, assessments, scores, game answers, points, referrals, messages, and content you create or interact with.
  • Exam & proctoring data: where a proctored exam or controlled game is used, we may capture webcam snapshot images and integrity signals (for example lockdown events) to verify identity and detect malpractice.
  • Device & usage: IP address, device/browser information, log data, and cookies or similar technologies used to keep you signed in and to operate and improve the Platform.

3. How and why we use it

  • to create and manage your account and provide the Platform’s features;
  • to process payments, subscriptions, commissions, payouts, vouchers and settlements;
  • to approve/verify accounts, run KYC, and prevent fraud, cheating and abuse;
  • to run games, exams and assessments — including proctoring for integrity;
  • to produce reports, analytics, leaderboards and recommendations;
  • to communicate with you (service messages, notifications, and, where permitted, updates);
  • to secure the Platform, comply with law, and enforce our Terms.

4. Legal bases for processing

We rely on one or more of: your consent (which you may withdraw); performance of a contract with you; our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Platform; and compliance with a legal obligation. For children, we rely on parental/guardian or school consent.

5. Children’s and students’ data

The Platform is used by students who may be under 18. We collect and use their data to deliver education services, on the basis of consent from a parent, guardian or their school, who is responsible for that consent. Parents and schools can view and manage aspects of a linked child’s or member’s data. We do not knowingly use children’s data for advertising profiling.

6. When we share information

  • With your school/organisation: if you are a member, your school owner and relevant educators can see your membership, participation and results.
  • With parents: a linked parent can see their child’s activity and reports.
  • With service providers: payment processing (Paystack), cloud hosting and storage, email delivery, and similar processors acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • For hosts/organisers: limited participation data needed to run a paid activity, prize or settlement.
  • Legal & safety: where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the Platform and for legitimate business, legal, accounting, safety and dispute-resolution purposes. Some educational content may be retained (including in a recycle bin / retained-content archive) for the platform and the relevant school after deletion from your view. Transaction and payout records are kept as required by law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures — including access controls, row-level security, encryption in transit and restricted document storage — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for enabling available protections on your account.

9. Your rights

Subject to law, you may request to access, correct, update, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. To exercise your rights, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity first.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the service and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling some may affect how the Platform works.

11. International transfers

Our hosting and service providers may process data on servers located outside Nigeria. Where data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it is protected consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform, and the “Last updated” date above will change. Continued use after changes take effect indicates acceptance.
